PLI is pursuing a vision to train pastors, spouses, and key leaders to put the extraordinary mission of God into the hands of ordinary people.
The Church requires pastoral leaders, spouses and church leaders who are effective, healthy, confident and competent to meet its mission to reach the lost, the disconnected, and the disenchanted of every age and generation.
Consider what this waiter had to say as we were at lunch discussing young people and the Church:
"What they were saying about how younger adults have a negative view of the church and most of them won't go to church anymore...they're right. I would never go to a church around here. They don't care about people in need and they're judgmental."
This was more than I had planned as I waited to pay the lunch check!
Our waiter added more: "None of the wait staff here wants to work the Sunday shift because of the people coming from church. They treat the wait staff like servants. They complain about the church service they just came from. They're poor tippers."
An old adage from doctors: "Listen to your patients; they're telling you the answers."
