About Us

A note from Diane Bahn, Director of the Partner Program . . .

“As ministry wives, we are often pulled in many directions by our commitments to husband, family, church, and job, with little support from others who understand. The goal of the PLI Partner Program is to provide a safe place where women can learn and grow with the support and encouragement of other ministry wives, as together they discover more about their unique position as pastors’ wives and women of influence, and as they process the learning they and their husbands are experiencing together in PLI.”

PLI recognizes the critical importance of the marriage partnership for effective ministry, therefore the wives are encouraged to apply and become part of the Partner Program. The special curriculum for the pastors’ wives (“partners”) is a unique and significant aspect of PLI training. The partners learn alongside their husbands at the annual conferences, which helps them to understand their husbands’ ministry as well as enhance their own effectiveness in their areas of influence.

The partners also learn and process in a small group of 6-7 women, which serves as a support and accountability group throughout their four years in PLI. Included in each group is a “PIP”—a “Partner Influencing Partners.” The PIP has been through the program and helps navigate the group through their PLI experience. In January the partners all gather for a weekend retreat that nurtures their relationship with Christ and with one another.

The Partner Leadership Team consists of Diane Bahn (Conferences and Partner Program Director), Sharon Zehnder (Partner Retreats), and Karen Pasch (Partners Influencing Partners-“PIP”). All three are ministry wives who have been blessed by their own involvement in PLI.
