International Consciousness
International and Multi-ethnic Urban Mission Consciousness
Christ’s commission to “make disciples of all nations” becomes more urgent as immigration brings the “nations” to every U.S. community. PLI encourages pastors to build their mission consciousness through two experiences.
One is an exposure to a congregation involved in multi-ethnic urban ministry. A second is an international mission vision event, where, accompanied by their wives, PLI pastors gain a world mission perspective.
These experiences open their awareness of the potential for multicultural outreach “at home” as well as intentional involvement in the Synod’s mission to people around the world.
