Mentoring Relationships

Experience-based with Mentoring Relationships

PLI uses more-experienced pastors to teach less experienced pastors β€” and serve as mentors to them. Each PLI pastor is able to develop a personal relationship with as many as 10 mentors during their four years of study. During conferences and planned collegial events, PLI pastors have opportunity to learn first-hand from these experienced pastor-leaders. Through the process they learn of personal and professional pitfalls, receive assistance and encouragement, and gain insight for positive growth in ministry.

Testimony from Karen Pasch
Bethany Lutheran Church, Slidell, La.

β€œIt requires the ministry of the couple together. Some people get the impression that this means the wife is a ministry partner, ministering alongside of her husband.

To me, my ministry is supporting my husband in his ministry. That is my ministry – supporting him. PLI gives you permission to do just that.”
